A New Vet Practice Starts off on the Right Foot

A bank referred a veterinary practice to MWA to assist in implementing efficient accounting systems, preparing “bankable” financials to facilitate a loan for the practice, and guiding the strategic planning for the practice as it grows. 

Pain Point

The owner had never managed a veterinary practice by himself, and he was unfamiliar with preparing company financials, tax planning, accounting procedures and the general dynamics of managing the practice.

The Right Solution

After meeting with the client to explore all of his concerns, we addressed each concern individually and explained our ideas for every step of the process. We guided him through all of the start-up action items, set up the financial records maintenance procedures, built custom accounting processes and trained his staff on how to record critical data. Once the practice opened, we developed a strategic plan for growing the business and held the client accountable to the plan by meeting quarterly to discuss the practice’s performance. 

Above and Beyond Results

After working closely with the client for a few years, it was time for the business to truly expand. We developed an incredible plan for rolling out multiple veterinary locations and building a hub-and-spoke model for the client across several geographic regions.
